About:

Blackberry and sandalwood. A deceptively simple description for what I’ve been chasing with this perfume. This isn’t the odor of fresh blackberries, it’s the juicy and tart and citrus tingle of eating them. It's the background presence of a sunlit forest, warm green leaves and wood. Sandalwood adds its richness to the sun-warmed woods and amyris gives an earthy body and depth to the entire composition.

I'd been working on this one for a little while when I came to the realization that the actual odor of blackberries is somewhat one dimensional and...well...boring. Eating blackberries though? There's tart greenness and citrus and the berry aspects that are so much stronger. Retronasal olfaction - the combination of how something tastes and smells while you eat it - is what I wound up going after for the blackberry accord.

It's alright

It's strong and well made, but it's not really what I'm looking for in a blackberry fragrance.

Wonderful

Reminiscent of blackberry picking as a child. Lasts all day.

Exactly what I was dreaming of.

For the past year I've wanted to smell like a blackberry, and this perfume has accomplished that for me. Deep, juicy, elegant, not cheap smelling at all.

Black bear foraging for berries

Starts off with a ripe, acidic, unsweetened blackberry wrapped in a blanket of fresh greens. The overall effect is sharp, outdoorsy, and wet-smelling, like fresh soil and dew-covered leaves. The blackberry note settles and becomes less sharp as the scent dries down, and I get a bit of sweetness and warmth from the amyris, the sun rising and the morning dew evaporating. The sandalwood note is not particularly strong and serves more to ground the fragrance. These are wild blackberries growing in a forest, not in someone’s garden. Wearing this makes me feel like a black bear foraging for berries in the forest

So beautiful! Wild, juicy, tart!

Blackberry is tart and fresh with green wrapped up in the front, with a creamy sandalwood! I am blown away!
